Send Your eBay Buyers In To A Frenzy Using Listings With Pictures

eBayers love listings with pictures. I don't think it would be too bold a statement to say that pictures can make you stand head and shoulders above any competitor in any market. The reason is people are now programmed to look for visual conformation of the information provided and if it's missing you will lose your prospective customer in the click of a mouse.

Ok so it takes a bit longer to put up a listing with photo's but the rewards can be massive. The use of pictures is important in ninety nine out of hundred times you use them and the higher the value of your item perceived or otherwise the more important the use of a visual image (photo) is to your success.

The most compelling reason for using photo's in your eBay and other auction listings is it makes you look like you want to be helpful to your customer. f you go to the extra effort of presenting your customer with good quality pictures they will just assume this is your highly professional way of doing business. You will come over as a professional seller and your customer will be happier doing business with you than competitors who maybe don't bother.

In addition it creates a strong bond of trust between you and your customer. They will feel reassured that you actually own the item and that it is in good condition (it is very hard to take a good photo of a shabby item) and that it is not damaged or defective in some way.

A photo makes your auction stand out. When your picture is displayed on the search results screen, people can see your item right there in front of them even before they read your title. The vast majority only have so much time to spend on eBay maybe after work or in a lunch break and a compelling picture will grab their attention much quicker and they will be more inclined to pay a higher price than they would with a poor listing without pictures.

But how can you be sure you are the one that creates that killer photo, the one that land the customer every time? I have put together a few simple suggestions to help and make you the seller customers want to buy from.

If it needs more than 1 or 2 photo's to really describe your item properly don't skimp.I accept eBay will charge you for using their service for each image but this problem is easily rectified, all you need is a web hosting account which will only cost a few bucks a month and you can load as many images as you want.

If you are filled with dread at the thought of using HTML or uploading your pictures to your own web host don't worry. It is far easier than you might imagine and their are tutorials all over the internet for this information. You can also get helpful video's at my blog http://www.auctionwealthsecrets.com/auctionnews.But a simple way of doing it until you have mastered the other methods is to just use the eBay listings editor.

Improve your pictures. You might want to touch up or enhance your pictures, their are several free programs on the net you can find for this just search for 'image editors' in your favorite search engine.Using this type of program you will be able to adjust things like brightness and contrast to show your photo's in the best light possible. I personally use Adobe Photoshop but it is a bit complicated to use so I suggest maybe you stick to a free resource until you are ready to upgrade in your eBay business.

Improve your photography. In the online world you need to use a digital camera both for convenience and quality of images. Even a high end 35mm film will not hold a candle to a cheap digital camera image wise. But taking a good photo is about attention to detail look at your background and aim to get a clear image of your item with out distracting from your product.

If you're not sure of yourself when it comes to photography, an empty, lightly coloured table against a white or nearly-white wall is always a good place to put things when you take photos of them. I personally choose to use a white or light colored sheet as a back drop but you can experiment and even be creative but avoid being too tacky as it will look terrible.
